Bachelor's Degreee in Elementary Education

Professional Development:

Attendended a 3 day commom core workshop in Derby, KS and worked with the New Generation Science Standard (NGSS).  This was a great workshop!

Current Position:

I'm currently the 5th and 6th grade Science teacher for the Elementary School.  This is my third year teaching in this position and I began in August of 2012.

Previous Position:

Prior to teaching for the district I tought in Garden City for two and a half years with Headstart.  This is my first certified teaching position. I was also a para for 3 years and a substitute teacher for 5 years in 3 districts.

Family Information:

I got married in September of 1999 to my soul mate Mike.  We have two boys ages 9 and 11.  They go to school here and are in the 3rd and 6th grades.  My husband lives in Leoti until he is done with school; then he will be moving here with us.  He comes to see us on his days off so we try to make the most of our time with him.  We do not have any pets, however my boys really like dogs and cats.
