USD 494 Syracuse

Open System Preferences and go to Keyboard:

Select the Shortcuts tab. Make sure the box for "Use keyboard navigation to move focus between controls" is checked.

Open Safari Preferences:

Select the Advanced tab. Make sure the box for "Press Tab to highlight each item on a webpage" is checked.

Hello, my name is Barb Summers. This is my second year teaching in Syracuse, but my 25th year in education. I grew up in Dodge City, Ks where I attended school K-12. I recieved my degree in Education from Fort Hays State University. After college I moved to Ulysses, Ks where I taught for 16 years and then to Johnson, Ks. for 7 years teaching kindergarten.

I have two terrific children and a wonderful guy named Dave. My daughter Aubree is a junior in college , and my son Trey is an 8th grader.

My favorite things are my family, teaching, friends, pets, sports, walking, and reading.

I'm so excited to be part of the USD #494 school system, and look forward to a wonderful year!!
